Crete is the largest Greek island. It's capital and largest city ισ Heraklion, where our apartment Knossos is located, on the northern shore of the island. The Minoan Palace of Knossos is considered Europe’s oldest city and was the center of the Minoan civilization.

Apartment Knossos includes 3 bedrooms, a bathroom and WC, a spacious living room, a study, a balcony, and a fully-equipped kitchen including all electrical appliances. All rooms have state-of-the-art Simmons mattresses, so you can rest assured when it comes to bedtime. Rooms also include wardrobe space and flat-screen TVs. The apartment is equipped with air-conditioning units and offers free Wifi, for all those who need to stay connected. This home is ideal for families as well as groups. The open layout of the living room can host two more guests on its large sofas (not sofa beds).

Neighborhood
Just 900 meters from the Venetian Walls and a 19-minute walk from the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, our modern home welcomes you to Crete. The property is a 20-minute walk from the Municipal Museum of the Battle of Crete and the National Resistance where you can learn all about how Crete was defended against Nazi Germany. Not far from the Venetian walls you can enjoy the Museum of St. Aikaterini, which hosts a plethora of Cretan art and icons from the 14th and 15th centuries. Close by, you will find the Church of Agios Mathaios Sinaites, also from the 15th century, which is a very serene place, ideal to gather up some inner peace.
Once there, take a short walk to Monastery Palianis near the Venerato Gorge to visit the oldest monastery in Crete and admire its famous myrtle tree.
Once in Heraklion town, take a stroll down 25th August street to admire Venetian architectural gems including Heraklion's most famous historic building, the Loggia.
Don’t forget about the wonderful places to eat nearby, like Erganos, serving authentic Cretan cuisine, Kiriakos who offers the complete Greek experience, and Silvio who has one of the best pizzas in town.
Within the old town of Heraklion, we would recommend fun and funky places like Jailhouse Rock bar, Cellar 26 Wine Bar, or The Bitter Bar where you can have a delicious cocktail or a nice glass of wine and then head down to the Old Venetian port for a stroll by the water with ice cream at hand from Cafe Storoloi.
The Minoan Palace of Knossos is considered Europe's oldest city and was the center of the Minoan civilization. It is a mere 4.1 km from the apartment which is perfect to experience in a day. The apartment is also near the main roads that lead to other parts of the island, thus perfect for those who have a car and wish to explore Crete. Heraklion International Airport is just 4 km from the property.
Last but not least, another wonderful Cretan experience would be taking a wine tour through nearby wineries such as Domaine Paterianakis Wines, Lyrarakis Winery, or Douloufakis Winery. This will get you out and about, get your taste pallets curious and enjoy a bit of nature.

Partially Refundable:
- 50% of your total reservation is charged at the time of Booking.
- Bookings cancelled within 24 hours after reservation are refunded 100% (the total prepayment minus bank charges, or online payment processing fees, if any).
- In case of cancellation after 24 hours, 50% of total reservation prepayment is non-refundable.
- The outstanding balance of 50% of your total reservation is due 7 days prior to your arrival.
